We are proud to announce that Cindy Hernandez will be joining Al Día en America, as part of the Google News Initiative Fellowship Program. The GNI fellowship program helps in the building of a stronger future for journalism.
Hernandez graduated as a journalist from Illinois State University and has worked with WGLT in Illinois, the Chicago Sun Times, and The Vidette in Nomal, Illinois.
Hernandez will join the Al Dia en America team beginning in September, covering news and bringing important information in English and Spanish to the Latinx/Hispanic community of Kentuckiana.
