Termina el año y es hora de nombrar a tres personajes que por su trabajo se distinguieron durante el 2022. Desde las páginas impresas y digitales de Al Día en América, les presentamos a nuestras Destacadas del Año.
Creemos que por su trabajo, de suma importancia en nuestra comunidad, es esencial que todo el mundo les conozca por ser orgullosas Latinas en Louisville y la región.
En la educación, en el emprendimiento y en el sistema judicial, presentamos a nuestros tres destacadas del año:
Mónica Negrón, promueve en la Universidad de Louisville la inclusión y la diversidad de la comunidad Latina. Además de ser una estrella en el deporte de lacrosse, con su trabajo abre el camino para miles de jóvenes estudiantes que van ingresando a la universidad.
Natalia Bishop, con la incansable energía de una emprendedora inmigrante, ha vencido barreras y con sus empresas y logros trata de ayudar a otros a tener éxito en el ámbito de los negocios y la tecnología.
Yvette De La Guardia, este año hizo historia al convertirse en la primera jueza de origen Latino en ser electa en una elección general en el Condado de Jefferson en Kentucky. Con su trabajo, contribuye a reducir la falta de representación de los Latinos a nivel político y cívico.
Desde ya les felicitamos y les agradecemos por ayudar a abrir el camino para el resto de la comunidad latina en Kentucky.

The year is coming to an end and it is time to name three members of our community who distinguished themselves during 2022 for their work. From the printed and digital pages of Al Día en América, we present our Outstanding Women of the Year.
We believe that because of their work, of great importance in our community, it is essential that everyone knows them as proud Latinas in Louisville and the region.
In education, in entrepreneurship and in the judicial system, we present our three highlights of the year:
Mónica Negrón, promotes the inclusion and diversity of the Latino community at the University of Louisville. In addition to being a star in the sport of lacrosse, her work paves the way for thousands of young students entering college.
Natalia Bishop, with the tireless energy of an immigrant entrepreneur, has overcome barriers and through her ventures and achievements tries to help others succeed in business and technology.
Yvette De La Guardia, this year made history by becoming the first judge of Latino origin to be elected in a general election in Jefferson County, Kentucky. With her work, she contributes to reducing the lack of representation of Latinos at the political and civic level.
